e49 success reported in Times-Free Press

Tuesday, August 02, 2005

Southeastern Tennessee and North Georgia regional newspaper the Times-Free Press interviewed episode49 as a post-st3 success story.

"We were able to continue servicing the needs of st3 development clients because they liked the quality of our work and were glad to keep receiving it from us", said Kurt Schaffer, managing partner and chief systems architect.

st3 focused on streaming media deployment and related technologies. After backers stopped their financial support in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the company closed. Ken Smith and Kurt Schaffer, who formed the core of the st3 development group, continued supporting the st3 clients, many of whom they had brought to st3 when their business merged with st3.

Reporter Mike Paar recounted the success of episode49 in expanding their business beyond what they supported at st3, and the evolution of episode49 to servicing national as well as local companies.

The Times-Free Press, formerly the sister publication to the New York Times, reaches 68% of all adults in the Chattanooga area for a regular readership of over 265,000.
